Practical happiness and progressive success - Try it!

When you are in distress, you want a relief. But you do not believe in a party or  a bear to cool you down. So you google. How to become happy?
And there are many suggestions by google. The search results ranges from an Oprah Winfrey’s motivational discussion with a world leader to Deepak Chopra’s speeches, courses and therapies. It is nice to hear them. You know that they are talking about highly stressed C level people. They talk big stuff and use a phrase ‘simple way’ and they never seem to let the secret out.
When you hear them speak or listen to preview, you feel that there could be a magic solution. I should agree partly, many will be motivated towards peace seeking in that kind of environment. But should finding success and peace should be a right of already successful people?
Also from successful mentors’ point of view, how can they show examples of simple people learning the success and peace lessons from them? Assume they do a course with a mid-level corporate executive, who is yet to be famous, why would that video be a hit on YouTube or a hot search on Google?
Ok then what is the way for success and peace if you do not have the money to attend their courses. Let us make it really simple and economical and articles like these famous.
I have made this topic as ‘practical’ happiness and ‘progressive’ success intentionally.
Following below methods (you already know it) are economical; no tickets to a highly paid course and the success will not come overnight and will be progressive only. (Progressing is better than procrastinating- so let us take a step)
1)      Know that there are 2 parts to success and happiness – Internal and External
2)      Internal part is not controlled by money
3)      External  - major portion is influenced by money
External success first, as it requires urgent attention(for many).
How to achieve?

1)      Build Knowledge: Whatever position you are in now, think about what knowledge you should posses to handle a level that you are aiming. Example -  You are a Junior banker and you would like to become a branch manager. So start thinking what would it require to handle that responsibility. So when you are ready with your knowledge the only thing standing in between you and the position is experience. World is changing and people are ready to try young people at senior levels.
2)      Keep your antennas active: Look for signals of learning and be aware of the opportunities coming your way.
3)      Be patient: Succeeding does not happen overnight and there is no escaping the time. Everyone waits at some point of life. So be patient.
4)      Keep calm and be confident: The more you wait the more you tend to panic. Key is to be confident and use the time to learn more in the field of your choice and wait for the right moment when you have done the other parts.
For disruptive innovative growth (if you are capital rich, or know someone who is, or you are lucky – You are 1 in a 1000)
1)      Innovate: create unrealistic ideas:
2)      Be bold: Take the risk: Tell the people, make them buy your idea.
3)      See if you can bring these ideas to practicality: Try a prototype: Patent it: Sacle up to commercialization: Make money
Internal success:
                One good thing about internal success is that the acquiring process is same for successful and not so successful person.
The commonly suggested methods are meditation; the formal meditation has become impractical nowadays.
                So follow a simple method to start with.
When you take a break from what you regularly do (breaking is mandatory- better than a forest and mediation idea). Pause for a moment doing nothing, thinking nothing.
Like when you were doing your coding say for last 3 hours, and you wanted to take a break, go for a smoke or for lunch. Don’t directly go to that. Have a pause. Don’t think about the regular things, don’t do what you would regularly do.
You can start doing things like the below, to break the routine
1)      Go do a different physical place before reaching your regular smoker’s zone or pantry
2)      Walk slowly at half the pace of your’s
3)      Breath more times than you would do normally(which is comfortable for you and you can make it subtle)
4)      Think nothing – initially will be tough, because of the inertia of the mind, it will still linger on the codes you were typing, or it would be busy thinking about a morning stress or a future commitment. Just pause, say to your mind – stop for three minutes. Then by practice you will know to pause for 3 minutes.
5)      Once you know to pause, think abuot what you think without emotion, stress objectively. Thing(k)s become clearer.
6)      Already you know a simple meditation. Increase the 3 minutes to a 10 minutes and start thinking about nothing or a single thing you are progressing to better meditation levels.
7)      These simple steps over a period of time reduces wrinkles, keep yourself and people around you happy and you have more energy
This is just beginning of peace and but if you will like it you can get to the ultimate inner calm (someone said everyone really strives for only this). 
Now you can start tasting internal and external happiness, success and therefore peace. Then you move higher levels and get guided by high level coaches.
